9-10mm Keshi Baroque Freshwater Cultured Pearl Necklace, 42cm
This necklace is made from some of the most special pearls you can find. Cultivated Keshi Freshwater Pearls. Their intense luster and irregular baroque shape are the most outstanding features. Each pearl is unique. The size of the pearls is 9 -10 mm.
The cultivation process of these pearls is also very special. To cultivate traditional pearls, a piece of mantle tissue from a donor mussel is inserted into a mussel and returned to the water so that it surrounds it with nacre and creates a pearl. Two years later, when it is taken out of the water to extract the pearls it has created, sometimes, if the pearls obtained are of good quality, the mussel is closed again and returned to the water for another long period, but this time without including any nucleus. Since the pearl sac was already formed the first time, the mussel continues to generate nacre, which results in a wonderful Keshi Freshwater pearl.
The necklace is strung on silk with a knot between each pearl to prevent them from rubbing against each other and getting scratched.

What does the quality of our pearls mean?
Unlike diamonds, there is no universal standard for pearls. Terms like "AA+" or "AAA" are subjective and depend on the standards of each jeweler. They serve to distinguish the quality of pearls within a brand or store, but never to compare different brands or stores. What may be AAAA pearls for some, for us may not even be acceptable for sale.

Preparation time
Certain designs, such as some of our necklaces where you can choose the type of clasp, are hand-strung once the order is placed, so we need one business day to have it ready and ship it the next day. Feel free to contact us if you are in a hurry.
However, the vast majority of products are ready, so orders placed before 1:00 PM will be shipped the same day and the rest the following day.

Product care
A good rule for pearl care is that they should be the last thing you put on and the first thing
you take off.
It is also a good idea to clean your pearls with a soft cloth after wearing them and, occasionally, you can dampen it with water for a more thorough cleaning. Avoid using abrasive soaps as they can damage the luster of the pearls.
Always keep your pearls separate from other hard jewelry, such as metals and other gemstones, to prevent scratching.
