Our history
SY is a brand specialized in cultured pearls, offering a wide range of Freshwater pearls, Akoya from Japan, Tahiti, and South Sea.
Founded in Madrid in 2017, it has eight years of experience backed by more than 60 years of family tradition in the pearl business, with the aim of offering high-quality modern jewelry with the best cultured pearls, each one carefully selected by our founder.
Pearls are sustainable gems, as they are cultivated without generating negative environmental impact and require clean waters for their growth, which motivates the industry to keep the waters free of pollution.
Meet our founder
Miguel Carabel, a third-generation pearl diver and graduate in Cultured Pearls from the American Gemological Institute GIA, founded SY Perlas in 2017. From the beginning, his goal has been to offer pearls of great quality, to good price and with all the information necessary. Miguel travels several times a year to Asia to personally select the best pearls
