Certificate of Origin

There is a name that defines perfection in the world of pearls: Akoya. Renowned worldwide for their legendary mirror-like luster and virtually perfect roundness, Japanese Akoya pearls are not just a jewel; they are the standard of classic and timeless elegance. They are the Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn of jewelry.

Each pearl in this necklace is a testament to excellence. Cultivated in the calm, cold waters of Japan, they have been individually selected for the intensity of their luster. It is the jewel destined to become the centerpiece of any collection, a symbol of refinement that never goes out of style.

Create your ideal necklace:

1. Choose the size of the pearls

The diameter of the Akoya pearl defines its presence. We offer a complete selection so you can choose your ideal size:

  • From 5.0 to 6.5 mm: A touch of subtle and refined light. Perfect as a first Akoya necklace or for a minimalist and elegant style.
  • From 6.5 to 8.0 mm: The most iconic and versatile size range. It is the quintessential choice that suits any occasion, from everyday wear to the most formal events.
  • From 8.0 to 9.5 mm: In these sizes, the Akoya pearl becomes a powerful statement of exclusivity. Sizes above 9 mm are extremely rare and coveted, reserved for truly extraordinary pieces.

2. Choose your level of excellence

  • AA+ Quality: It represents an excellent selection, among the top 5% of the annual harvest. The luster is bright and intense, and the shape is almost perfectly round. Once worn, its slight imperfections are unnoticeable. Upon close examination, its natural character is evident with slight marks in the form of nacre accumulation, which testify to its authenticity and long cultivation process.
  • AAA Quality: These pearls represent the top 3% of the harvest. They are very white in color with a characteristic pink overtone. The luster is superior, mirror-like, with clear and sharp reflections. The roundness is virtually perfect, and the surface shows barely any imperfections, only visible when examining the pearls very closely. They are an extraordinary creation of nature.

3. Select the necklace length

  • 42 cm - Princess: The standard length, a timeless classic that suits any neckline.
  • 38-40 cm - Choker: A more modern and close-fitting neck style. Since all necklaces are hand-strung in our atelier, if you want one of these lengths or even a shorter one, please indicate it in the notes of your order and we will create it for you.
  • If you want it longer (45, 60, or 90 cm), please do not hesitate to contact us.

4. The Final Touch: The Closure

Each necklace is finished with an elegant and secure ball clasp, in 18k Gold at the height of its pearls:

  • 18k Yellow Gold
  • 18k White Gold

Invest in a legend. The Akoya was the first pearl to be cultured at the beginning of the 20th century. A jewel destined to be a legacy that will last forever.
