Unlike diamonds, there is no universal standard in the world of pearls. This allows many brands to use marketing terms like "AAAA" or "AAAAA" for pearls we wouldn’t even accept for sale.
At SY Perlas, we are third-generation pearl specialists. Our grading isn’t marketing; it’s a technical guarantee based on strict, hand selection:
- AA+ Quality (Our Superior Standard):
Far from a basic grade, this is our benchmark selection. It matches what other brands call "luxury grade" or AAAA. These pearls have magnificent luster and a very clean surface. An ideal choice thanks to an unbeatable price-to-quality ratio. - AAA Quality (Top 3%):
A visible step up in clarity. We select only the top 3% of each annual harvest. They have a more intense, deeper luster and an even cleaner surface, with imperfections practically imperceptible. Ideal for those seeking an extra level of excellence. - Signature Quality (The 1% - Extraordinary Pearls):
The extraordinary. Pearls with an almost perfect balance of luster, shape, and surface. They are incredibly hard to find and represent less than 1% of global production.
Preparation time
Certain designs, like some of our earrings and necklaces where you can choose the type of clasp, are strung by hand after the order is placed, so we need one business day to get it ready and ship it the following day. Don't hesitate to contact us if you're in a hurry.
However, the vast majority of products are ready so orders placed before 13:00 will be shipped the same day and the rest the next day.

Product care
A good rule for caring for pearls is that they should be the last thing you put on and the first thing you
take off.
It's also a good idea to wipe your pearls with a soft cloth after wearing them and, from time to time, you can dampen it with water for a more thorough cleaning. Avoid using abrasive soaps, as they can damage the luster of the pearls.
Always keep your pearls separate from other hard jewelry, such as metals and other gemstones, to prevent them from getting scratched.
